Have you seen this girl?

Have you seen this girl?

New York City lends itself to many activities including: charity events, work, dinner parties, concerts, work, travel for work, birthday parties, fashion events, work, going away parties, “I left my crappy job for a new job” parties, movie premieres, a mental health day, meetings for work after work, laundry days, banquets and the list goes on and on.  It’s no surprise that sometimes you find yourself in a, “shoot, can I have a raincheck” pattern with the people you most want to “just have a pint with.”  Hence, this lovely photo.  I found this in my inbox a couple of days ago from a close friend who I met early in my move to the city.  The best way I can describe him is; well, I’m the female version of him.  Either way, from time to time, I go rogue and don’t find time to just “show up.”  I think this was a good way to get my attention.

Love Letter to New York City

26 Feb

I enjoy NYC for unusual reasons. Sometimes those reasons surprise me. This love letter records moments I had alone on the streets, with strangers and with loved ones. I had so much fun making this video and I hope you enjoy it!

Leave Out Nothing, Tell Me Everything

18 Jan

Today I received a Save the Date for her big day in Montana.

Last month I picked up my dress for her big day in Lubbock.

They are my past, my now and my forever.

This song gives me a moment to reflect on the days, months and years we’ve spent laughing, thinking and imagining what our future lives would be like together and apart. Through time and space, here we are today living the lives we dreamt about for ourselves and for one another. We might not see each other every day, but we ‘see’ each other somehow…through floods of memories I can’t wait to stand beside my best friends as they make commitments to share their hearts and lives just as we once imagined they would. I’m blessed.
